The market sets the price
The lot
Priced per unit, sold as a lot
A farmer posts what came out of the field: the crop, the size of the lot, a starting price, a closing time. Bids are per unit: per kilo, per crate, per sack. The board always shows what the whole lot stands at.
The clock
The clock favours whoever wants it most
Every lot closes against a clock. A bid in the last two minutes extends the close by two minutes, so the lot goes to whoever values the produce most, not the fastest thumb.
The handshake
A person stays in the loop
When the clock runs out, the farmer confirms the winner by hand, and can award the runner-up if a deal falls through. Payment is a GCash or QR Ph transfer against a reference, checked by a person, usually within the hour. Reviews unlock only after the produce has changed hands, and both sides get one.
